What Is Operation Hero?

Operation Hero will provide members of Canadian military families with the opportunity to receive a scholarship to assist in the funding of their education at Georgian College. This scholarship will be endowed in perpetuity to support future generations.

Who is eligible?

Military family members of the Canadian Forces entering any full or part-time post secondary program at Georgian College are eligible for this scholarship. Preference will be given to family members of those currently posted at CFB Borden, Meaford and the Grey and Simcoe Forresters.

How can I contribute?

You can help make a lasting gift and help us honour the men, women and families at CFB Borden, Meaford and the Grey and Simcoe Forresters through your contribution to this important initiative.

When is the inauguration?

We will be raising funds during the months of April and May. The inauguration of Operation Hero will take place on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Canadian Forces Day at CFB Borden. Georgian College will be awarding the first Operation Hero Scholarship at this event.
